At Jomel Palliative and Hospice Care, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to those facing life-limiting illnesses, ensuring a dignified and comfortable journey for our patients and their families.

Hospice helps individuals in the final stages of life, live with comfort and dignity. Hospice is a program of care that includes pain and symptom management, emotional and spiritual support, and family counseling. Skilled compassionate care is provided by hospice professionals and volunteers most often in the familiar surroundings of the patient’s home. Our hospice team is also available to provide the same comprehensive care in hospital, nursing home, or other in-patient settings.

  • Hospice care is designed for patients with a life expectancy of six months or less and focuses on providing comfort and support. Palliative care, however, can be offered to patients at any stage of a serious illness, with the goal of improving their quality of life.

  • Patients with life-limiting conditions such as cancer, heart disease, lung disease, Alzheimer's, and other advanced illnesses can benefit from hospice and palliative care. These services aim to manage symptoms, provide emotional support, and enhance overall well-being for patients and their families.

  • Referrals to hospice and palliative care may be made by a physician, clergy, patient, family, friend, hospital staff or home, care agency.
